We have skied all over the world, and yes, we love the Utah POWDA, but we also love the North East! Where? Whiteface Mountain, Big Tupper, Titus Mountain, and Mount Pisgah for the little ones!

What are the skiers saying?
Whiteface Mountain has a 3,430-foot vertical drop that's the biggest in the East and has enhanced its lifts, trials, grooming, and snowmaking. While the mountain itself gets rave reviews readers called it "a Western mountain in the East" and noted that it had "no Vermont crowds" the village of Lake Placid and town of Wilmington and their off-mountain activities are what make it ideal for couples to visit.

The new Lookout terrain, unveiled last year, gives Whiteface a measure of breath proportional to its East-leading vert (3,430 feet). The reclaimed terrain of long-defunct Marble Mountain offers two trails served by a triple chair. Readers still love Whiteface for its obvious strengths: challenging slopes, Adirondack landscapes, the uniquely charming village of Lake Placid and all the winter fun that it and surrounding Olympic sites provide.
